| Rock 'Em! Sock 'Em! Masuda Blasts 3 Homers in Kinboshi Win | The Kinboshi Kites powered past the Fukuoka Falcons, 9-3, at Fukuoka Stadium. Kitahachi Masuda provided some of the pop. He hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. Earning his 3rd save for Kinboshi was Kannon Kato. Kinboshi's record now stands at 49-36, placing them first in the Western League.
Kinboshi relied on the bat of Ayahito Yamamoto to get the win. The shortstop produced a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Kites ahead, 4-1. For the game, Yamamoto had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
