 | Morino Dominates Bees in 3-0 Shutout Sunday, September 16th , 1962 In an excellent mound performance, Toshitada Morino of the Kobe Bulls blanked the Vesutan Bees, 3-0, on a 5-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the Kobe hurler rang up 4 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout win. "We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Bees manager Jim Harper. "Morino did a good job keeping us guessing." In 26 starts this season, Morino has notched a 14-6 record and a 2.54 ERA.
