 | Nagao Befuddles Fukuoka in 3-0 Vesutan Win Wednesday, May 7th , 1975 The Fukuoka Falcons were almost helpless in their 3-0 loss to the Vesutan Bees and hurler Niou Nagao. Nagao kept the Falcons confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Nagao," Fukuoka manager Kamlyn Kadota said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 37-year-old right-hander had 3 walks and 9 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Nagao said.
