| Tamura Shackles Nagasaki Saturday, September 20th , 1975 The Nagasaki Stars met their match today in Kinboshi hurler Keiji Tamura. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 4-hit shutout.
"He just worked us over," Nagasaki skipper Okura Ichimura said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat."
In the 4-0 victory, Tamura whiffed 3 and gave up 1 walk.
On his stats sheet for the year Tamura shows a 15-7 record, 27 starts, 179.2 innings, 123 strikeouts and a 3.91 ERA.
