Nagasaki Befuddled by Kobayashi in 4-0 Loss
Wednesday, July 16th , 1975
In a seemingly effortless performance, Tetsushou Kobayashi of the Osaka Sailors shot down the Nagasaki Stars, 4-0, on 7 hits.

"Tetsushou was just locating so well and using his pitches," Osaka manager Bill Sherrill said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Kobayashi recorded 4 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Nagasaki manager Okura Ichimura said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."

In 15 starts this season, Kobayashi has chalked up a 5-7 record and a 5.34 ERA.
