| Bulls Go Down to Defeat, 7-3 | Nagasaki beat Kobe in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Nagasaki Stars starter Akimasa Murakami found his groove in his team's 7-3 win over the Kobe Bulls. In 7.2 innings, Murakami surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed 3 runs.
In the bottom of the fourth inning of a 1-1 tie, Nagasaki right fielder Hirotsugu Araki grounded out, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Nagasaki on top, 2-1.
Murakami called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
Nagasaki is now 77-54.
