The rain did not keep Kobe and Kinboshi from finishing their game.

Kobe right-hander Tatsuharu Oto pitched his team to victory over the Kinboshi Kites at Matsunoki Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Kobe is now 96-42, 16½ games up in the Western League.

Kouyuu Kira had a big 2-run home run for the Bulls in the bottom of the first inning. With Kobe trailing 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from Keiji Tamura and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bulls ahead, 3-2.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Frank Moore.
