| Bulls Sting Kites, 5-2 | The Kobe Bulls picked up a win at Matsunoki Stadium, knocking off the Kinboshi Kites, 5-2. Starting pitcher Tatsuharu Oto was a big reason why. Yasuhiko Hidaka closed the game out for Kobe, earning his 5th save. By defeating Kinboshi, the last-place Bulls improved to 42-78.
The Bulls got a big at-bat from right fielder Chikato Kawano. For the game, Kawano went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 7th triple of the season gave Kobe a 3-0 lead.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Oto, "and then get after it again."
