| Kites Topple Bees, 8-4 | The umbrellas came out during the Kinboshi-Vesutan contest at Konohana Stadium.
The Kinboshi Kites powered past the Vesutan Bees, 8-4, at Konohana Stadium. Kesanori Kikuchi was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Satoshi Yamashita earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-1.
Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Konohana Stadium seemed to enjoy watching the Western League action.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Kikuchi told the Kinboshi Daily.
The win elevated the Kites to 66-64.
