The Kobe Bulls and Fukuoka Falcons played an exciting game.

The Kobe Bulls topped the Fukuoka Falcons, 4-3, in Western League action at Fukuoka Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kobe pitcher Yoshimatsu Yamamura. The Western League-leading Bulls are 78-51.

Kouyuu Kira, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1967 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kira contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Kobe up, 2-0.

"I'm happy we won," said Yamamura. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
