| Kobe Dealt 3-1 Defeat | The Nagasaki Stars got a rain-soaked win over the Kobe Bulls.
The Nagasaki Stars topped the Kobe Bulls, 3-1, in Western League action at Matsunoki Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Nagasaki pitcher Akimasa Murakami. At 67-47, the Stars are currently second in the Western League.
Ienari Fujimori dealt the Bulls a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Nagasaki leading 1-0, Fujimori hit a 1-1 slider for a run-scoring single.
Nagasaki manager Eddie Roseman praised his team's "businesslike approach."
