The Vesutan Bees wanted a good start from Tetsushi Kondo -- and he delivered one. The result was a 4-2 Vesutan win over the Kinboshi Kites at Vesutan Stadium. Kiyoshi Inouye earned save number 20 this season. The 4th-place Bees hiked their record to 61-63.

The Bees got a big at-bat from left fielder Kyozo Omori. For the game, Omori was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Vesutan a 3-0 lead.

Afterward, Bees manager Jack Fletchings said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
