The Nagasaki Stars locked up a win at Matsunoki Stadium, knocking off the Kobe Bulls, 5-1. On the mound for Nagasaki was right-hander Takashi Masuda. He played a major role in the triumph. Masuda yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 9-7.
