Bees Suffer One-Run Loss at Nagasaki
Shinsaku Shiraishi pitched a gem to lead Nagasaki to victory over the Vesutan Bees, 2-1. The victory gives the Stars a record of 60-60.

The Stars got a big at-bat from left fielder Isao Matsuda. For the game, Matsuda went 1 for 3 with a triple. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Nagasaki a 1-0 lead.

"We needed two runs to win," said Stars manager Okura Ichimura, "and that's what we got."
