| Bulls Win, 8-4, at Vesutan | Spirited fans greeted the Vesutan Bees for their clash with the Kobe Bulls.
Led by Toshitake Amano, the Kobe Bulls downed the Vesutan Bees, 8-4. Amano was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Bulls. The winning pitcher was Tatsuharu Oto. His record now stands at 19-5. The right-hander went 9 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits for the Bulls.
With Kobe leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Amano hit a sinker from Chiko Abe for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Bulls ahead, 4-0.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Amano.
At 70-48, the Bulls have a slim two-game lead in the Western League.
