| Sailors Earn 3-1 Home Win | The Osaka Sailors got a rain-soaked win over the Vesutan Bees.
The Osaka Sailors went home winners at Kotei Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Marty Carroll. Carroll stifled the Vesutan Bees, enabling Osaka to grab the 3-1 win. Vesutan's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
Zeshin Abe had a big 2-run home run for the Sailors in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Osaka leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Tetsushi Kondo, who is tied for 9th in the WL in saves with 5, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Sailors on top, 3-0.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Jack Fletchings.
