Vesutan Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.

The Fukuoka Falcons knocked off the Vesutan Bees, 2-1, in Western League action at Vesutan Stadium. Fukuoka pitcher and Nabari, Japan, native Rei Matsumura had an outstanding performance. The setback makes Vesutan 56-54.

Fukuoka took a 2-1 lead on Shunji Yamanaka's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Yamanaka hit in the top of the eighth, left Vesutan pitcher Kiyoshi Inouye visibly frustrated.

"Rei did a nice job," said Falcons manager Kamlyn Kadota.
