Murata Homers 3 Times, Leads Kobe to 8-3 Win
The Kobe Bulls trumped the Vesutan Bees, 8-3, at Fukuoka Stadium. Kobe third baseman Shunsuke Murata was terrific. He belted 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. The winner was Tatsuharu Oto, who threw 126 pitches over 9 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits. The Bulls raised their record to 30-59.

The Bees had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Bulls going into the top of the third inning. That changed quickly when the top prospect Tatsuharu Oto came to the plate. Oto hit a 2-run home run on a 1-2 changeup from Vesutan hurler Art Marx. It was Oto's 1st home run of the year.

Oto attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
