| Bees Win at Nagasaki, 8-2 | The performance of Shougo Iwai proved critical in helping Vesutan beat Nagasaki, 8-2. The Bees first baseman went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. Vesutan is now 49-42, Nagasaki 50-40.
With Vesutan leading 4-0 in the top of the seventh, Iwai came up to bat against Nagasaki pitcher Koson Mitsunaga. Iwai hit a slider to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 14th home run of the season put the Bees on top, 8-0.
Iwai called the win "a collective effort."
