| Kites Earn 3-1 Home Win | Kinboshi Kites starter Ryusuke Maeda turned in a top-notch performance against the Nagasaki Stars at Konohana Stadium. The result was a win for the Kites, 3-1. Maeda picked up the win for Kinboshi, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 7-9. Picking up the save was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Kinya Kodama.
Mitsuyasu Takeno, who finished 3rd in the WL in runs with 90 in 1960, contributed to the Kinboshi win with a solo home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.
