The Osaka Sailors picked up a win at Kotei Stadium, knocking off the Vesutan Bees, 6-2. On the mound for Osaka was left-hander Genpaku Matsumoto. He played a key role in the triumph. Osaka, with the win, sits at 29-54.

The Sailors got a big at-bat from right fielder Shinpei Abe. For the game, Abe went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Osaka a 6-2 lead.
