| Kites Thwart Sailors, 6-4 | Kinboshi shortstop Ayahito Yamamoto helped his team beat the Osaka Sailors, 6-4. Yamamoto, who is tied for 5th in the WL in stolen bases with 10, went 3 for 4 for the Kites. The winner was Gene Walker, who threw 104 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits. Kinboshi has now won 3 straight, while the Sailors have lost 3 in a row.
In the bottom of the third, Kinboshi center fielder Yutaka Kobayashi had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Kobayashi stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 4-1, Kinboshi. For the game, he went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
