| Bees Victorious at Kinboshi, 7-6 | Vesutan and Kinboshi duked it out and the Bees came out victorious.
The Vesutan Bees beat the Kinboshi Kites, 7-6, at Konohana Stadium. Vesutan left fielder Kyozo Omori led the way. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3. Vesutan reliever Shungo Yasuda got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Saimei Hayashida was tagged with the loss.
Vesutan used the timely hitting of Ichiro Hirano to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bees on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Hirano.
The second-place Bees have won 4 straight.
