| Kites Pick Up 10-5 Win Against Fukuoka | The game between Kinboshi and Fukuoka is in the books, despite a little rain.
Kinboshi first baseman Fusao Tokunaga played a vital role in his team's 10-5 conquest of Fukuoka. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Kinboshi. The third-place Kites go to 39-35.
An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Kites catcher Korenaga Kurosawa hit a sinker from Iwao Yamamoto for a 2-run single. Just like that, Kinboshi was up, 4-3.
"It's always fun to score a lot of runs," said Tokunaga.
