| Kites Deal Sailors 6-2 Defeat | Kinboshi turned a good effort from starter Gene Walker into a win over the Osaka Sailors at Kotei Stadium. The Kites won the game, 6-2. The third-place Kites have won 4 straight.
Kinboshi second baseman Kitahachi Masuda contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 63rd hit of the season and put the Kites ahead, 1-0.
"I really like what we did out there today," Masuda said after the game.
