| Tokunaga Slugs Kites to 7-4 Win | The Kinboshi Kites got a rain-soaked win over the Vesutan Bees.
The Kinboshi Kites topped the Vesutan Bees, 7-4, with first baseman Fusao Tokunaga playing a big role. Tokunaga was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Kites in the win. Kinboshi reliever Toyoji Tsuda was the winner. His record is now 3-1. Tadataka Ohira took the loss.
Tokunaga broke a deadlock in the top of the eighth inning, when he hit a sacrifice fly, putting Kinboshi up, 5-4.
"Nice win for us," said Tokunaga. "Now we'll go after the next one."
Kinboshi is now 31-32, Vesutan 32-31.
