| Kites Suffer 6-4 Road Loss | Fukuoka left fielder Yuigo Fukunaga played a vital role in his team's 6-4 conquest of Kinboshi. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Fukuoka. Ryunosuke Saito, the winning pitcher, is now 6-4. He went 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 6. The second-place Falcons have a record of 30-22.
In the bottom of the third, Fukunaga had a 2-run home run for Fukuoka. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Falcons on top, 5-3.
