| 7-2 Bees Win over Stars Evens Season Record | Wet weather did not postpone the Vesutan-Nagasaki ballgame.
Getting offensive support from Taiji Miyakawa, the Vesutan Bees topped the Nagasaki Stars, 7-2. Miyakawa went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Bees. The third-place Bees sport a record of 30-30.
Vesutan used a clutch at-bat from Hidetsugu Ikegami to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Bees ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Ikegami told the Vesutan Gazette.
