| Floundering Bulls Lose 6th Straight | In a well-pitched game between the Fukuoka Falcons and the Kobe Bulls, pitcher Norito Yamazaki was fantastic. The Fukuoka right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. Yamazaki, the winner, moves to 2-5. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Yuushuu Nakata recorded his 4th save for Fukuoka.
Fukuoka needed the clutch hitting of Jotaro Murakami to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Falcons on top, 2-1. For the game, Murakami had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Kobe manager Joe Davis.
The Falcons now own a record of 28-24.
