| Bees Eke Out 4-3 Win Versus Kinboshi | The Vesutan Bees beat the Kinboshi Kites by a score of 4-3. Vesutan pitcher Tetsuya Watanabe deserved the lion's share of the credit. Watanabe threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs for the Bees. Watanabe yielded 3 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-2. Hirokatsu Funakoshi earned the save, his 3rd, for the Bees.
In the bottom of the sixth, Vesutan catcher Hidaka Nishikawa had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Nishikawa stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 4-2, Vesutan. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
After the game, Vesutan manager Jim Harper applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
With the victory, the Bees record stands at 22-25.
