Vesutan got an elite performance from starting pitcher Niou Nagao in securing a 5-1 decision over the Kinboshi Kites. Vesutan is in 5th place in the Western League with a record of 22-27.

Ichiro Hirano dealt the Kites a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Vesutan leading 2-1, Hirano hit a 2-0 sinker for a 2-run single.

"Niou was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Vesutan manager Jack Fletchings.
