| Bees Take Tight Tangle | The Vesutan Bees downed the Kinboshi Kites, 7-6, at Konohana Stadium. Shuuhei Yamashita led the way, going 2-for-4 for Vesutan. Hirokatsu Funakoshi came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Haruki Ogawa recorded the save, his 4th.
Yamashita had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 sinker from Josuke Fujimori, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Bees a 7-5 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Yamashita.
"We'll build on this win," said Yamashita.
The victory makes Vesutan 14-31.
