| Kites Corral 2-1 Win | The Kinboshi Kites picked up a win at Matsunoki Stadium, knocking off the Kobe Bulls, 2-1. Starting pitcher Kyuso Ikeda was a big reason why. Ikeda picked up the win for Kinboshi, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 6-2. The third-place Kites now have a win-loss record of 24-23.
Kinboshi used a big swing from Hideyuki Kitamura to get the win. The second baseman walloped a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Kites up, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
Kites manager Frank Moore raved about Ikeda after the game. "I thought Kyuso was 'lights out.'" | |
