| Kobe Downs Nagasaki, 6-1 | Kobe Bulls left-hander Kyouhei Sakata pitched a good game against the Nagasaki Stars at Nagasaki Prefecture Stadium, leading his team to victory, 6-1. Sakata, the winner, moves to 2-4. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 3 walks. The last-place Bulls own a record of 14-31.
Kobe used a clutch at-bat from Chikato Kawano to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Bulls ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Sakata.
