Slumping Bulls Lose 7th Straight | The 1961 season is getting uglier for Kobe.
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Shissho Inoue, the Kobe Bulls lost to the Nagasaki Stars, 7-5. Inoue was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Nagasaki reliever Kiyohiro Okazaki snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Masali Tabata shouldered the loss.
Nagasaki went up, 7-5, on Yukiya Sakai's 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Sakai hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Kobe pitcher Masali Tabata shaking his head.
"Things will change for us," said Kobe manager Joe Davis. "When things change, we'll get clicking."
The slumping Bulls have lost 7 straight. | |
