The Vesutan Bees beat the Kinboshi Kites by a score of 6-5. Vesutan second baseman Tokugawa Ito deserved the lion's share of the credit. Ito was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk for the Bees. Kiyoshi Inouye finished the game for Vesutan and earned his 4th save. The Bees, now 21-26, know that wins in June count the same as wins in September.

Vesutan pitcher Tsuneo Oda contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Bees ahead, 6-1.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Ito, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
