| Bulls Score Late, Upend Bees, 4-3 | The Kobe Bulls topped the Vesutan Bees, 4-3, in Western League action at Matsunoki Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kobe pitcher Yukihiro Okamura. Kobe reliever Toshimichi Yamamoto was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Art Marx took the loss. Kobe has run its win streak to 4 straight.
Yasukatsu Arakawa was the walk-off hero for Kobe. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bulls pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Kobe manager Joe Davis.
