| Kites Get Better of Stars, 6-1 | The game between Kinboshi and Nagasaki is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Kinboshi Kites topped the Nagasaki Stars, 6-1, in Western League action at Nagasaki Prefecture Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kinboshi third baseman Fumisato Muramoto. The triumph puts Kinboshi at 22-21 for the season.
With Kinboshi leading 3-1 in the top of the fifth, Muramoto batted against Nagasaki pitcher Haruo Kawamoto. Muramoto hit a fastball to left-center for a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Kites on top, 5-1.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Muramoto, "and then get after it again."
