The Kobe Bulls downed the Vesutan Bees, 8-3, at Matsunoki Stadium. Oscar Abbott led the way, going 3-for-4 for Kobe. Kobe goes to 26-17, Vesutan to 20-23.

Jouta Hayashida was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk for Kobe. The 28-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Shuhei Ichikawa. It was his 23rd walk of the season.

Abbott expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
