| Kinboshi Earn 9-3 Victory at Vesutan Stadium | Kesanori Kikuchi was instrumental in his team's 9-3 triumph over the Vesutan Bees. The right fielder was 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Kinboshi Kites. The win elevated the Kites to 17-16.
Kinboshi second baseman Yamahiko Hirata contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a knuckle curve to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 25th hit of the season and put the Kites ahead, 6-3.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Hirata told the Kinboshi Times.
