| Bees Win Streak Reaches 6 | The Vesutan Bees topped the Osaka Sailors, 5-2, in Western League action at Kotei Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Vesutan pitcher Tetsuya Watanabe. The winner was Watanabe. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Yugo Imoto. Haruki Ogawa earned save number 7 this season.
Vesutan took a 4-2 lead on Tomeo Okinaka's 15th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Okinaka hit in the top of the seventh, left Osaka pitcher Yugo Imoto visibly frustrated.
"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Watanabe. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Bees.
