| Osaka Roughed Up By Falcons | Not everyone stuck through the 15-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Getting a good performance from first baseman Yasuhiko Kawasaki, the Fukuoka Falcons defeated the Osaka Sailors, 12-3. Kawasaki was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Falcons. Tsuneteru Fujiwara went 9 innings for Fukuoka to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs. He scattered 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record improves to 3-4.
Early in the game, Kawasaki had a 2-run home run for Fukuoka. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Falcons on top, 2-0.
Fukuoka manager Kamlyn Kadota commended his team for "putting the hammer down."
