| Yamashita Stars in 8-4 Bees Win | The Vesutan Bees reigned over the Nagasaki Stars in damp conditions.
The Vesutan Bees stopped the Nagasaki Stars, 8-4, at Nagasaki Prefecture Stadium. The Bees got a big game from Shuuhei Yamashita, who went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Genichi Tsukamoto got the win, improving to 3-1. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 3.
Yamashita contributed in the top of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Vesutan get the win.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Yamashita.
The Bees sport a record of 9-22.
