| Kites Go 10 Innings to Beat Nagasaki, 2-1 | The Kinboshi Kites faced a tough opponent in Nagasaki pitcher Yugoro Koyama, but found a way to pull out the victory at Konohana Stadium by a final score of 2-1 in 10 innings. Koyama went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The win was credited to Toyoji Tsuda in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Tetsushi Kondo took the loss. The win puts Kinboshi at 14-13.
Kinboshi got a clutch hit from Yohachi Hiramoto. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.
"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Hiramoto.
