| 12-5 Win Takes Bees to 11-11 | Fukuoka shortstop Itaru Nakamura had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 12-5, to Vesutan at Vesutan Stadium. The Bees got a big hit from left fielder Kyozo Omori. Facing Fukuoka pitcher Yutaka Kameda in the bottom of the eighth, Omori pounded a 3-run home run to right-center. His 2nd home run of the season put the Bees ahead, 12-5.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Omori. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
