| Kites Lose, 5-3, in 10 | Kinboshi got a decent performance from pitcher Saimei Hayashida, but it wasn't enough to beat the Vesutan Bees. Vesutan won the Konohana Stadium contest, 5-3. Hayashida threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Taku Doi earned the save, his 1st, for the Bees. The Kites drop to 9-11, as their stumbling start to the 1975 season continues.
Vesutan used the timely hitting of Taiji Miyakawa to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Bees on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We didn't let this one get away," said Miyakawa.
