Nakasone Leads Sailors to Win | Osaka and Kobe took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Osaka Sailors polished off the Kobe Bulls by the score of 9-3. The largest share of the credit belonged to left fielder Fumiya Nakasone. Nakasone went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for the Sailors. The Bulls, now 4-10, continue their slow start.
Yoshio Ishikawa, who is tied for 7th in the WL in home runs with 3, aided the Osaka cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Ishikawa. | |
