| Yamamura, Bulls Get 9-1 Win | The Kobe Bulls and Vesutan Bees completed their game despite the rain.
Yoshimatsu Yamamura, who finished 3rd in the EL in innings pitched with 216.2 in 1971, was brilliant in helping Kobe beat the Vesutan Bees, 9-1. The Bulls are off to an underwhelming start as they look to defend their championship, notching only their 4th win in 13 games.
Yamamura was the winner. He's now 2-1, after putting the Vesutan offense in a vise grip. Over 9 innings, he gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while racking up 5 Ks.
"My gosh almighty, Yoshimatsu was tremendous," said Kobe manager Ikuhiko Murata.
