| 7-2 Win Gets Kobe to 6-3 | The Kobe Bulls got a stellar effort from pitcher Tatsuharu Oto, helping Kobe score a win over the visiting Vesutan Bees, 7-2. Oto, who led the WL in innings pitched with 239.2 last year, went the distance for Kobe. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. Kobe is off to a hot start at 6-3.
The Bulls got a big at-bat from center fielder Andy Nevill. For the game, Nevill was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Kobe a 6-2 lead.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Oto. "But I like how we're playing right now."
