| Vesutan Offense Jammed Up by Sailors | Osaka Sailors starter Tetsushou Kobayashi was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Vesutan Bees, 3-1. Haruki Ogawa sewed up the save, his 2nd. The loss lowers the Vesutan record to 4-4.
The Sailors got a big at-bat from catcher Kojiro Urushihara. For the game, Urushihara went 1 for 2 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Osaka a 2-1 lead.
"Tetsushou did what Tetsushou does," said Osaka manager Bill Sherrill.
