Kinboshi used the hitting of Korenaga Kurosawa to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Kites on top, 4-0. For the game, Kurosawa had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Tamura.
