Rams Lose Versus Kyoto, 4-3
Kyoto and Rakisuta took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Kyoto Owls locked up a win at Owls Park, knocking off the Rakisuta Rams, 4-3. On the mound for Kyoto was right-hander Kento Okada. He played a major role in the triumph. In 9 innings, Okada surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs.

Contributing to the Kyoto cause was Hiroshi Yamashita. In the bottom of the fifth, the former first round draft pick had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, the Owls in front.

Yamashita attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
