| Ichimura Powers Dynamics to 6-4 Win | Denki and Kyoto took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Dynamics right fielder Okura Ichimura left his mark on his team's 6-4 win over the Kyoto Owls. Ichimura, who finished 5th in the EL in hits with 122 in 1952, was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Denki in the contest. Hisao Ibe earned the win to go to 5-13. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 5 walks and 6 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Tadahito Koike earned the save for Denki, his 2nd.
Denki used the timely hitting of Shosei Umeda to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dynamics on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Umeda.
Denki has won 3 straight, while Kyoto has lost 3 in a row.
