| Rams Drop Dynamics, 3-2 | Starting pitcher Morihiro Arakaki gave the Rakisuta Rams a rock-solid effort. The Hamaoka, Japan native helped his team defeat the Denki Dynamics, 3-2, at Rakisuta Stadium. Arakaki, now 15-6, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Yamada Yamanaka earned save number 5 this season.
Sukeichi Onodera drove in one run for Rakisuta. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Onodera, who finished 2nd in the EL in doubles with 33 last year, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Denki hurler Yoshimatsu Shiina, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Rams a 1-0 lead.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Rakisuta skipper Bob Lester.
The Rams now have a mark of 58-49.
