| Kingfishers Drop 6-2 Decision | Kyoto Owls starter Isoroku Furuta turned in an exceptional performance against the Yokohama Kingfishers at Kanagawa Stadium, resulting in a Kyoto win, 6-2. The 'W' lifts Kyoto's record to 57-54.
In the top of the fourth, Kyoto second baseman Gesshin Yokoyama had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and two out, Yokoyama stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 3-1, Kyoto. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Furuta.
