| Rams Roll Over Bears, 9-2 | The Rakisuta Rams earned a win at Rakisuta Stadium, knocking off the Sapporo Bears, 9-2. On the bump for Rakisuta was right-hander Kinichi Harada. He had a starring role in the triumph. In 9 innings, Harada surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. At 56-61, the Rams claim 4th place in the Eastern League.
Ryunosuke Onishi had a big grand slam home run for the Rams in the bottom of the first inning. With Rakisuta leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from Katsumasa Hashimoto, who is tied for 8th in the EL with a 6.0 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 18th home run of the season, which put the Rams on top, 7-0.
"Kinichi has got a slow heartbeat," said Rakisuta manager Kinzo Yoshimura. "He doesn't panic or anything."
