| Owls Bridle Dynamics, 3-2 | The Kyoto Owls got a stellar effort from pitcher Tadanori Miyata, helping Kyoto score a win over the visiting Denki Dynamics, 3-2. Miyata picked up the win for Kyoto, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-9. Kuniaki Usui earned the save for Kyoto, his 1st of the year.
The Owls got a big at-bat from first baseman Yutaka Yoshida. For the game, Yoshida was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Kyoto a 2-1 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Denki skipper Tadashi Iwamoto, "and it cost us."
