| Reliables Win at Sapporo, 4-1 | The Hosho Reliables and Sapporo Bears completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Pitcher Takashi Masuda was sensational for the Hosho Reliables in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Sapporo Bears. Masuda earned the win. The Eastern League-leading Reliables are 61-36.
Hosho used a big swing from Tenmu Kurosawa to get the win. The second baseman walloped a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Reliables up, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Reliables manager Shun Kawamura. | |
